Why visiting guests pick Trewena

Stay close, keep yours.

Your own front door

Three cottages on a smallholding, each with its own entrance, kitchen and patio. Stay close without taking over their spare room. They get their evening back, you get yours.

Sleep that's actually yours

King or super-king bed, proper linen, electric blanket. Quiet enough that you actually hear birds in the morning. No put-me-up, no shared bathroom, no whispering after ten.

Hosts who know the area

Rich and Hellen live on site. Around when you need a steer to the right pub for a family lunch or a quiet beach for the morning, invisible the rest of the time.

Three reasons people come

Catch-up, milestone, just because.

The catch-up weekend

Long-overdue.

They have been saying come down for ages. Two nights, three nights, a week. Trewena gives you somewhere to actually sleep when the day is done, and somewhere to sit with a coffee in the morning before you head over.

Family milestones

Wedding, christening, big birthday.

The whole extended family converges and the spare-room maths gets brutal. Book Trewena early. Weekends with a wedding at Trevenna, Tregenna or Polhawn fill months ahead.

The just-because trip

No event. Just time.

A stretch of time blocked out to be with people you love. Drive over for breakfast, come home for tea, dinner together at theirs. Repeat for as many days as you have.

A returning guest

It felt like seeing a family member rather than checking in to an Airbnb. The cottage itself was everything you'd hope for: clean, beautifully designed and quiet.

Common questions

Visiting near Falmouth.

How close are you to Penryn, Falmouth, Helston, Constantine?
Penryn town is five minutes by car. Falmouth town and harbour are ten. Constantine is ten. Helston, Truro and most of the south coast inside half an hour. The map on the home page shows the spread.
Can my friend or family member come over while we're staying?
The cottages are set up for couples, but a short visit is usually fine. Meet up before a day out, a coffee on the patio. Just check with us first as there's only space for one car per cottage. Hosting people across a weekend isn't really what Trewena is for.
We're here for a wedding or family event. Is Trewena a good base?
Yes, often. We host plenty of guests in for weddings at Trevenna, Tregenna, Polhawn and the other local venues, plus christenings, big birthdays and anniversaries. Book early: weekends with a wedding nearby fill months ahead. The cottages are not a venue themselves (kit for two, no events at the cottage), but they make a fine retreat after the day.
How does this compare to a hotel in town?
More space, your own kitchen, your own front door. Quiet at night without the corridor noise. No 11am checkout if you want to sit on the patio with another coffee. Direct prices, no booking fees, and you keep the cottage to yourself for the stay.
